Collin Fijalkovich e1191b3adb Open temporary cookie file as writable in sync.py
Named Temporary file defaults to mode 'w+b' which causes repo sync to
fail. By opening the tmpcookiefile in PersistentTransport.request as
writable, we are able to run sync successfully.

Bug: https://crbug.com/gerrit/12370
Test: Ran smartsync successfully

repo

Repo is a tool built on top of Git. Repo helps manage many Git repositories, does the uploads to revision control systems, and automates parts of the development workflow. Repo is not meant to replace Git, only to make it easier to work with Git. The repo command is an executable Python script that you can put anywhere in your path.

Install

Many distros include repo, so you might be able to install from there.

# Debian/Ubuntu.
$ sudo apt-get install repo

# Gentoo.
$ sudo emerge dev-vcs/repo

You can install it manually as well as it's a single script.

$ mkdir -p ~/.bin
$ PATH="${HOME}/.bin:${PATH}"
$ curl https://storage.googleapis.com/git-repo-downloads/repo > ~/.bin/repo
$ chmod a+rx ~/.bin/repo
