Git can write trace2 events to a Unix domain socket [1]. This can be specified via Git's `trace2.eventTarget` config option, which we read to determine where to log our own trace2 events. Currently, if the Git config specifies a socket as the trace2 target, we fail to log any traces. Fix this by adding support for writing to a Unix domain socket, following the same specification that Git supports. Repo is a tool built on top of Git. Repo helps manage many Git repositories, does the uploads to revision control systems, and automates parts of the development workflow. Repo is not meant to replace Git, only to make it easier to work with Git. The repo command is an executable Python script that you can put anywhere in your path.

Install
Many distros include repo, so you might be able to install from there.
# Debian/Ubuntu.
$ sudo apt-get install repo
# Gentoo.
$ sudo emerge dev-vcs/repo
You can install it manually as well as it's a single script.
$ mkdir -p ~/.bin
$ PATH="${HOME}/.bin:${PATH}"
$ curl https://storage.googleapis.com/git-repo-downloads/repo > ~/.bin/repo
$ chmod a+rx ~/.bin/repo
